Alana De La Garza has established herself as a household name on television. De La Garza is a gorgeous actress, born 1976 in Columbus Ohio to a Mexican American father and an Irish American mom. Then she began moving to Texas where she pursued the field of physical therapy within the University of Texas. De La Garza did not remain in Texas for very long. She quickly moved to Orlando Florida, where she took on a number of roles as an actor as well as independent films and commercials. Even though she had small parts, De La Garza soon realized that she was drawn to acting. Following her move to New York, in 2001 she landed her first role as an actor in the show All My Children. She had minor roles on JAG The Las Vegas as well as Two and a Half Men during the first half of 2000. In 2004, she got her first role in a major series on the short-lived drama The Mountain. De La Garza had the pleasure of working with some outstanding TV actors, including Barbara Hershey Oliver Hudson Penn Badgley Mitch Pileggeggi. The most memorable part of her career was in 2006's Law & Order where she played A.D.A. Connie Rubirosa. She appeared on 85 episodes. She then migrated to the brief-lived spin-off Law & Order: LA. This character was a hit and brought De La Garza numerous nominations, including Best Supporting Actress - Television by the Imagen Foundation Awards and even numerous ALMA Award noms. In addition, the National Hispanic Media Coalition awarded her the Impact Award, which is presented to outstanding performers in the drama show. A short moment later De La Garza was cast on CSI Miami in a recurring part. She was Marisol Delko, the wife of the character of David Caruso Horatio Caine. Her most recent appearance on TV was in the role of Dr. Lena Solis on NBC's somewhat more dark-hearted drama Do No Harm. After a couple of episodes the show ended up being cancelled.
